Pearsall’s situation draws comparisons to Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr., who survived gunshot wounds to his leg and hip in August 2022. Robinson made a remarkable comeback just six weeks later, playing against the Tennessee Titans. According to authorities, the suspect shot himself in the hand or arm during a struggle with Pearsall, who refused to surrender his watch. The suspect is in stable condition at San Francisco General Hospital and awaits pending charges.
