WNBA Playoffs 2024 Standings: Check out the results for the first day of the WNBA Playoffs

The Indiana Fever will play their first playoffs in seven years under the leadership of Caitlin Clark.

The WNBA playoffs are on fire. The Las Vegas Aces, with A’ja Wilson leading the way, are ready to defend their title, while the Indiana Fever will make their first appearance in seven years, relying on the talent of Caitlin Clark to run deep in the postseason.

The Aces did not have their best season, but their 27-13 record was enough to earn them a ticket to the playoffs as the fourth seed. In their first series, the two-time champions face the Seattle Storm, fifth overall with a record of 25-15.

The Fever entered the postseason as the sixth seed with a record of 20-20. Clark and her teammates will have a tough first-round series against the third-seeded Connecticut Sun (28-12), who are making their eighth consecutive playoff appearance in search of the title that eluded them in the 2019 and 2022 finals.

This year’s heavy favorite is theNew York Liberty (32-8). With Breanna Stewart in top form, the Liberty will have home-field advantage over the eighth-seeded Atlanta Dream (15-25), who made the playoffs for the second straight season under head coach Tanisha Wright.

The Minnesota Lynx (30-10) enter the postseason as the second seed and thirsty for revenge after their first-round exit in the 2023 playoffs. Their first hurdle on its way to the final series will be the Diana Taurasi and Brittney Griner-lead Phoenix Mercury (19-21).
