Miles McBride joins West Virginia’s ‘Pat McAfee Show’ to win student tuition with spectacular shot

Miles ‘Deuce’ McBride has made some dreams come true on the Pat McAfee Show by winning tuition for a West Virginia student.

The New York Knicks guard and former West Virginia player was tasked with hitting a ridiculous shot over a massive group of students whilst live on the show, and he pulled it off.

McBride was part of a segment of the show and he managed to cost the network a lot of money as he managed to win full tuition for one student.

Outside the Milan Puskar Stadium, the watching crowd went crazy and there was a wonderful embrace between McBride and the student in the aftermath.

McAfee was feeling very generous as he pointed out two students who showed up at around 3am and said that he would be giving them around 10,000 dollars each for their commitment.

McBride comes up with the goods

McBride will soon begin his fourth NBA season as the Knicks guard will look to build off his most productive campaign yet.

The 6-foot-2 shooter averaged 8.3 points per game last season which is a career high by some distance, while shooting 41 percent from three, over 10 percentage points better than last season.

McBride also starred for the short-handed Knicks in the playoffs, logging 26.7 minutes per contest across 13 appearances, logging 11.0 points per game and hitting 36.8 percent from three in over five attempts per contest.

“He just changed a life right there,” said Ty Schmit, one of McAfee’s show mates.

Including fees, West Virginia tuition for the 2024-25 school year is $10,104 for in-state students and $26,608 for out of state. Meaning it is an incredible amount of money that McBride won for the youngster.
